Hebrews 12:8 reminds us that the Lord's discipline is for our good, so that we may share in God's holiness, and that it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace. Discipline within the local church should be viewed through this lens, and this study reminds us that although it is not pleasant at the time, church discipline accomplishes God's good purposes for his people.
