Dealing With Depression

Psalm 13:1  (ID: 1129)

Like David, many of us have seasons of the soul where it feels like winter all the time. Often, though, this kind of depression comes from a wrong perspective. While we need to realize the depth of our sins, we must not be overcome; as Alistair Begg reminds us, Scripture calls us to trust in God’s unfailing love and rejoice in His salvation. If David could do this by looking forward to the coming Messiah, how much more should we, who have clearly seen what was done for us in Christ?

How Long, O Lord?

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

1How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?

How long will you hide your face from me?
