“Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit”

1 Thessalonians 5:19  (ID: 1830)

How can God, who is never taken by surprise, be grieved by our actions? The Bible tells us that when we walk in an ungodly way, it is an offense against God’s love that brings sorrow to the Holy Spirit. Alistair Begg reminds us of God’s deep desire to dwell within us, and that it is our own action that deprives us of the joy, assurance, and peace that should accompany our salvation.
