Continuing the teaching from Paul in Philippians, John Dickson preaches what it truly means to be a citizen of heaven. The call, the character and the effects of living like people who are destined for heaven is not a calling for the fainthearted. The gospel we proclaim is for people to "sabotage" the empire they live in through service and suffering, true humility. No one has been an example of this better than our Savior, Jesus Christ. Humility was a shameful word in the first century, and yet Christ rescues the word from ignominy to become the highest call for the believer.
