One Thing

John 9:25, Philippians 3:12  (ID: 2554)

While Babe Ruth notoriously hit the most home runs in his era, he also had the most strikeouts, because he always “swung for the fences.” In our Christian walk, we often have a similar mentality and set unrealistic, unattainable expectations for ourselves. Alistair gives three “one things,” taken from Scripture, that all Christians ought to be able to say and do in order to make significant, small steps in knowing Christ and becoming more like Him.

25He answered, “Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.”

Straining Toward the Goal

12Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.
