The Search Is Over

Dear Friends,

Warmest Christian greetings! It is no small thing to be able to greet you in this way, for it reminds us that our relationship with each other is based not on a religious affiliation, nor in an interest in broadcasting, but in the work of Christ on our behalf. When Paul observes that “in Him all things hold together” he says more than any of us can really comprehend. It is always good for us to be reminded of the greatness of God and to trust Him even when His ways are beyond finding out.

With this in mind, I am very excited to introduce you to a book that I think you will certainly want to add to your library: My God is True by Paul Wolfe. It is doubtful whether any of us will make it through life without coming into contact with someone who is facing a battle with cancer.

As a pastor, I have been on the lookout for reading material to pass on to anyone touched directly or indirectly by this disease. With the arrival of this book, my search is over. May I suggest that you secure a copy for yourself and also for your pastor who will, I’m sure, find this book to be a terrific resource?

Speaking of pastors, if you have not already suggested to your pastor that he may like to join us for Basics 2010, this would be a good time to do so. The benefits of early registration run out at the end of this month. You may even want to consider sponsoring him as a sign of your appreciation for the benefit you’ve received from his ministry.

In closing, thank you once again for your continued encouragement throughout the years. I have just been reminded that at the end of this month, we will be celebrating our 15th anniversary as a daily radio program. We look back with thankfulness and forward with great anticipation. It is hard for me to imagine what things might look like in another 15 years – 2025 sounds so strange. I wonder if I will make it to 73. I wonder what that will be like.

I take solace in the fact that the future comes in at a rate of 60 seconds a minute, and as Jesus said, each day has enough trouble of its own. So let’s resolve to continue to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and discover that all of the details are under His care.

Warmest Christian greetings!
