When the apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesian church about Christian unity, he knew he was addressing a physically, emotionally, and socially diverse group. They were bound to face relational conflict. In light of this, he offered them a challenging instruction: in their marriages, families, and workplaces, they were to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. In doing so, they would exhibit a humility that only the Spirit could produce and display God’s love for His people to a lost and lonely world. Two thousand years later, little has changed. As in Paul’s day, relationships continue to be the source of our most grievous hurts and most immeasurable blessings. In this series, Alistair Begg urges us to consider the stirring invitation of God’s Word. Through our daily interactions with spouses, parents, children, and coworkers, we have the opportunity to introduce the world to Christ. How will we respond?
