Our questions for God are often numerous—but have we deeply considered the questions that He asks us? Because God is all-knowing, His questions in Scripture can be easy to pass over as we read and study. After all, He already has the answers, right? But what if His reason for questioning us isn’t to discover something new but to challenge us to consider the state of our own hearts?

In this series, Alistair Begg examines seven questions God raised to particular people—and, by extension, to all of mankind—at key places throughout Scripture. Such penetrating questions as “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul?” or “Do you think I came to bring peace?” struck a chord with those who heard them, just as they do for us today. Exploring our responses will help us to better understand the fullness of the Gospel and the power of God’s character.
