The Building of God

The transition from the physical temple of Israel to the spiritual temple of the New Testament was a revolutionary idea. The truth that God’s temple is now seen in the lives of God’s people brings a sobering responsibility to the visible church. If the church is diverted from Christ and ceases to make Him the chief cornerstone, it will crumble. The face of the church is sinners; it must therefore have a solid foundation in Christ.
