Crowds came from all around to experience miraculous healing at the hands of Jesus. As Alistair Begg points out, though, many came for the wrong reasons. Jesus asserted that the bodily benefits of His ministry were not what mattered most. Even after healing a leper and a paralyzed man, He insisted that their greater need was forgiveness. Today, while Jesus remains concerned about all our needs, His deepest desire is to restore the relationship with God for which we were made.
