Let a Man Examine Himself

In 1 Corinthians, Paul addresses the importance of understanding who should participate in the Lord's Supper. A personal examination assists in determining if one is receiving the symbolic bread and cup as Christ intended or in an unworthy manner. Self reconciliation before participation requires an examination of our beliefs, actions and heart. As a member of God's family, we should approach communion thankfully, confidently and joyfully.
