“Then They Recognized Him”

After Jesus had explained the “big picture” to the disciples, they urged Him to stop and stay with them—even though they didn’t recognize Him. Only after they spent more time in His presence did they suddenly realize He was the risen Christ. Alistair Begg helps us see ourselves in their story: when Jesus opens our eyes, we realize in hindsight why our understanding changed.
