Mark’s Gospel, the first to be written, emphasizes that Jesus is the Christ and the fulfillment of God’s purpose. Its descriptions of Jesus’ interactions with others—both His followers and His enemies—show the Lord accomplishing His mission to rescue the lost.
With nearly a third of the narrative dedicated to the passion and resurrection of Jesus, readers are encouraged to believe in Christ’s sacrifice and come to saving faith in Him. In these studies by Alistair Begg, we’ll come to know Jesus as Messiah, Suffering Servant, Son of God, Risen Christ, and Returning King.

My first encounter with Alistair's teaching was on a radio program I accidentally turned on, where he was teaching from the book of Mark. Hungry for sound, biblical teaching, I immediately looked him up and the rest, as they say, is history. His teaching is challenging and exactly what I need to hear, not necessarily what I want to hear. I have pulled over on the road a few times over the years to weep after listening to his teachings. I am challenged to grow through his teachings.

I am hungry for sound expository and applicable preaching in a town that has more churches in a 50-mile radius than any other other city in the U.S. Pastor Begg has faithfully taught the truths of the Gospel and consistently answered the questions: Who is this Jesus? What is He saying? How can He make such claims? Jesus answers the religious leaders of the day who are trying to trap Him and at the same time He proves to us that He is who the prophets have foretold is the Christ, the Messiah.
