The Christian Soldier

Some Christians are uncomfortable with images like “armor” and “battle” being used to describe the Christian life. The Bible, though, is clear: in this world, we should expect struggles, for we have an enemy who does everything possible to separate us from the Lord. As Alistair Begg reminds us, our only defense is to stand firm in God’s power through union with Christ. Putting on the armor of God daily makes that union possible and that power accessible.
