An Internal Threat

In the midst of rebuilding Jerusalem’s wall, wealthy members of God’s people exacted usury on their brothers and sisters. God’s people were supposed to be a holy nation, set apart for obedience to Him, but their actions were no different than their unbelieving neighbors. Nehemiah confronted this corruption with God’s divine standard.
