In the life of the believer, after justification comes sanctification. Once we are declared righteous on account of Jesus’ death, the Holy Spirit begins to work within us to conform our hearts and minds to the will of God. The result, explains Alistair Begg, is a life of growing holiness and devotion. We have a role to play in this process too, though, as we feed on God’s Word, live in fear of Him, and rest in His grace.
