Mike Fox was a long-standing member of Parkside Church and friend of Alistair Begg. He was married to Linda and had two teenage daughter, Meredith and Bethany. Mike battled cancer for a number of years before he passed away on October 5, 2001. Earlier that year, the congregation at Parkside had the opportunity to hear Mike share with Alistair the story of how God used him throughout his illness Life Mattes: A Conversation about Cancer is the DVD of that deeply moving and inspiring interview. Mike Fox discovered that God could make use of him in his weakened state. Being confronted by death, Mike maintained that it was "moving without having to pack his bags." In making this interview available, Alistair and Mike both expressed the hope that it would prove helpful to many who are dealing with similar circumstances.
