Each person is molded and shaped by his particular environment, culture and upbringing. While each person is a citizen in their given country, John Dickson goes to Paul's letter to the Philippians to show how important it is for the believer to live as a citizen of heaven. Coining his own word, Dickson maintains that the gospel is a part of being "re-citizenized". It is because of this that Dickson notes that there's something about knowing you are minority in an opposing empire that motivates one to evangelism.
