Pastoral ministry is a high calling, but it is not an easy one. Those entrusted with shepherding God‘s people must proclaim His Word faithfully, lead by godly example, and persevere through challenges and discouragement. The Basics Conference brings pastors and Christian leaders together for biblical instruction, practical encouragement, and fellowship to equip them in their calling.

At Basics 2026, Alistair Begg was joined by Hershael York, Todd Smith, and Bob Lepine to consider what it means to lead faithfully in Christ’s church. Through Bible exposition, breakout sessions, and question-and-answer discussions, they addressed preaching and teaching, godly leadership, healthy eldership and family relationships, and perseverance amid discouragement. Together, these messages encourage pastors and Christian workers to remain steadfast in God’s Word, confident in His promises, and faithful to the work He has entrusted to them.
