Jesus taught in the synagogue not as a teacher of the law but as one with authority. The very Scriptures to which He turned were the Scriptures that pointed to Him as the promised Messiah. The beginning of His ministry, however, brought with it an encounter with Satan and his demons. Alistair Begg shows us that Christ’s immediate conflict with darkness demonstrates that He is the Light of the World who would ultimately destroy the devil.
