A Rescue Mission

 (ID: 2551)

It’s possible to summarize the Christmas story in one phrase: “Christ Jesus has come into the world to save sinners.” Alistair Begg unpacks this trustworthy saying of Paul’s from 1 Timothy by asking four key questions of it: Who, what, why, and how? The answer? The Lord Jesus entered this world to save rebels through the work of His atoning sacrifice. This is God’s gift, which each of us must receive by placing our faith in Him.

15The saying is etrustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus fcame into the world to save sinners, gof whom I am the foremost.
