It’s one thing to maintain vibrant faith in a time of challenge; it’s another to live faithfully during seasons of mundanity. As Alistair Begg points out, Joseph never lost sight of where he was heading, even after the drama of his early life had ended. At death, he was still looking for his reward and living in faith, requiring his sons to vow to take his bones to Israel. Joseph’s legacy was faith in the promises of God—a faith that we, too, carry forward today.
22By faith Joseph, at the end of his life, made mention of the exodus of the Israelites and gave directions concerning his bones.
