Since its founding at Pentecost, the church has struggled neither to isolate itself from the world nor to be absorbed by the surrounding culture. Speaking to this tension, Alistair Begg challenges us to see how Daniel honorably engaged in Babylonian culture while remaining steadfast in His obedience to God’s law. Like Daniel, the church is to be in the mainstream of culture yet remain distinct from it.
