In 1 Corinthians 1 and 2, Paul assigned his readers an important task: the confident preaching of Christ crucified. The Gospel message, he wrote, is foolishness to the world and yet means everything to believers—and God uses not the powerful but the weak to proclaim it. Alistair Begg helps us see the folly of putting confidence in the world’s wisdom, pointing us instead to the power that is God’s alone.
