Work characterizes our post-Eden world, and preachers who labor diligently will be approved by God instead of ashamed before Him. In this message, Edward Lobb describes the fundamental character of a preacher as a worker: someone who must plan and study vigorously to rightly divide the Word of truth and deliver Gospel-focused messages. As a minister’s labor is motivated by love for God and sustained by the strength of the Holy Spirit, it will result in strong, mature believers.
15Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved,3 a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
