This story illuminates God’s sovereignty and providence in the lives of its characters. Alistair Begg shows us how the experience of Ruth also demonstrates that God uses even our wrong choices for the ultimate good. This is not an excuse for rebellion but serves as a tribute to God’s glory and gives us hope for the future, even despite past failures.
