Jesus: The Fruit of Sacrifice in the Pastor

 (ID: GS1298)

The Bible contains many stories of inadequate servants who glorified God through their frailty. But what about Jesus Himself? Is He too a “jar of clay”? As Jesus approached the culmination of His ministry, He spoke not of success but of sacrifice. This sacrifice, Christopher Ash notes, was necessary and costly, but ultimately fruitful—and it remains so today for pastors who follow in Christ’s humble footsteps.
