At the outset of Jesus’ public ministry, He called twelve men to be His disciples. He did not select them based on their credentials or skills but used ordinary men to bring the message of redemption to a lost world. The intimate friendship that the disciples had with Jesus was the foundation for their service to Him. Alistair Begg reminds us that Christ still calls men and women to Himself so that they can tell others about Him.
