In this sermon, Alistair Begg emphasizes the significance of building a church for God’s glory. Such a place will be the launching pad for mature believers ready to spread God’s Word and see unbelievers come to faith in Christ. Just as a young and inexperienced Solomon found the building of the temple a daunting task, so the people of God are reminded of their own weakness and dependence on Him. The task requires a consecrated, praying congregation and leaders who sacrificially lead by example as God builds His church.
1And David the king said to all the assembly, “Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced, and the work is great, for the palace will not be for man but for the Lord God.
