John 13:1-17  (ID: 1252)

The Apostle Peter was earnest in his belief, but he often misunderstood Jesus’ words and actions. As we seek to expand our knowledge and understanding of the Bible, we will find that Peter’s difficulty was not unique to him. In this message from John 13, Alistair Begg explains the deeper significance of Jesus washing the disciples’ feet. The message is indeed one of humility, but there is also a rich foreshadowing of the cross to be found in this scene.

Jesus Washes the Disciples' Feet

1Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
