Most Christians know that “Lord” is not Jesus’ first name. But did you realize that the Bible uses this word to mean more than just “master”? In fact, it is a divine title, affirming that Jesus is God. Alistair Begg examines how the Bible’s teaching on “one Lord” underpins the unity of those who are in Christ. Those who name Jesus as Lord are characterized by belief in Him, belonging to Him, becoming like Him, and telling others about Him.
