While holding a grudge can be tempting when we’ve been wronged, such behavior reveals a shallow view of God. When Joseph disclosed himself to his brothers, rather than exacting revenge, he acknowledged God’s providential hand. To help us understand the wisdom of Joseph’s response, Alistair Begg examines the comfort, security, and humility found in the doctrine of providence. Trusting God’s sovereign care enables us to endure afflictions without undue complaint and experience encouragement without undue pride.
