Our Confidence in the Word

2 Timothy 3:14  (ID: 0100)

In the first century, it would have been easy to assume that the fledgling church was going to fizzle out after its first moments of glory. Much like today, people were doctrinally and morally muddled. As Alistair Begg points out, God’s remedy for confusion was trustworthy then, and it still stands today: the Christian witness needs to be firmly rooted in and convinced of the sufficiency of Scripture for salvation and edification.

14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom1 you learned it
