Our Dependence on God

 (ID: 0140)

The giant Goliath arrived on Israel’s battle lines boasting of his strength and mocking Israel’s refusal to send out mighty challengers. Only when the shepherd David arrived did the Israelite soldiers hear a forgotten truth. As Alistair Begg explains, the soldiers had failed to believe in their own beliefs, professing that God was active and living but acting like He was weak or dead. As God’s people, we must stay focused on Him so we can see our battles in perspective.
