The Prophesied Kingdom — Part One

In Genesis, God formed a covenant relationship with Abraham which He then modeled throughout the Old Testament. As Alistair Begg points out, however, the Israelites disbelieved God’s promises to Abraham. In response, God raised up the prophets to remind the people of His judgment and to be His mouthpieces. Like us, Israel needed to be made fully aware of its sin in order to look forward to the perfect fulfillment of God’s promise in Christ.
