The Resurrection and the Life

John 11:17-37  (ID: 1237)

Men and women, who are dead in their sins, are as spiritually dead as Lazarus in the tomb. Like Lazarus, we are unable to help ourselves. Lazarus’ sister Martha confessed her trust that although everyone dies physically, we can live in Christ. The same confession must mark our faith as well. Alistair Begg discusses Jesus’ conversation with Martha, her statement of faith, and Jesus’ claim to be the resurrection and life.

I Am the Resurrection and the Life

17Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days.
