In his letter to Philemon, the apostle Paul wrote with warmth and affection for his dear friend. In fact, as Alistair Begg teaches, a central theme of Philemon is fellowship with Christ. Such fellowship, we discover, does not respect social stratification. All are on equal footing before the Lord. As we pursue and embrace this fellowship, we grow spiritually, even as we show the world that a new way of being is possible.
