In fact, as Alistair Begg points out, because He did not give into sin, Jesus’ temptations were even harder than our own. His unwavering obedience led him to die on a cross, broken and abandoned. Humanity would never have invented such a strategy for victory—yet it was God’s plan for our salvation from the beginning of the world.
