True Servants

 (ID: 1988)

In 1 Timothy 6:1–5, Paul seems to endorse slavery. Yet as Alistair Begg demonstrates, Paul’s overarching concern was that God would be glorified and the Gospel would be attractive. Similarly, in modern culture, true servants of Christ will respect their bosses, work hard, and maintain a godly attitude, regardless of their circumstances or treatment. By these means, God is glorified and others may be drawn to Christ.
