We All Need Jesus

Romans 1:16–17  (ID: 3610)

When fewer and fewer people in our culture accept the idea of absolute truth, it can be difficult to proclaim, “Jesus is Lord.” So how can believers echo the apostle Paul’s words, “I am not ashamed of the gospel”? Alistair Begg unpacks the remainder of Paul’s statement in Romans 1, encouraging us to stand firm on the fact that the Gospel is the saving power of God, who reaches out to rescue all who trust in Jesus. Every person is in need of this expression of God’s justice and love.

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith,5 as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”6
