As Alistair Begg explains, alienation is a major problem in our world. Many of us lack true friends who are consistent, honest, and sensitive. A friend like this can be found, however, in the Lord Jesus. The scope of His friendship is wide, and His standard is love. We are secure in His friendship because He sought us first. When all else passes away, we need a friend to take us into eternity. Is anything stopping you from becoming Jesus’ friend?
24A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
