The Writing on the Wall

Daniel 5:1-30  (ID: 1397)

Daniel chapter 5 records a decadent feast given by a depraved king, but the feast was interrupted by a disturbing vision that confounded Belshazzar and his wise men. In his pride, the king had rejected the warnings of the past and given himself over to idolatry, bringing certain judgment on himself and his kingdom. Alistair Begg reminds us that Daniel’s words to Belshazzar are a warning to us as well: we all face the just judgment of God, but salvation can be ours through the cross of Christ.
