Your Enemy the Devil (The Cove)

1 Peter 5:8–9  (ID: 3163)

While Christians know the devil is real, most of us prefer not to think about him often. Still, the Bible offers us sober warnings about this enemy. The Evil One is a slanderer who is fierce in his activity and opposed to all that God ordains. As Alistair Begg shows us, though, our adversary is also a defeated foe. The key to victory in spiritual battle is to stand firm in a faith grounded in Jesus Christ and Him alone.

8Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
