The Basics of the Christian Faith discipleship course guide was designed to help you lead a friend or small group through foundational Christian truths.
This is a thirteen-lesson course that is a companion to thirteen sermons preached by Alistair. The guide pairs independent listening with in-person discussion and makes for an excellent thirteen-week program. Each week, you and a partner or small group will meet to read selected Scripture and answer questions. You’ll then listen independently to one sermon at a time. After each session, you’ll regroup in-person with your partner or small group to answer questions they might have about the message.
During the study, you’ll explore thirteen topics including:
- How Can I Be Saved
- Becoming a Christian
- Why Bother with the Bible?
- God and Man
- The Authentic Jesus
- The Holy Spirit
This course can also be used at your church to disciple new members and new believers. Alistair does all the teaching in this study, making it easy for you to disciple. You can also download a leader guide for free.
In The Christian Life, pastor and author Sinclair Ferguson explains what it really means to live as a Christian in a fallen world by examining the Christian doctrine. He breaks down key biblical themes like grace, faith and repentance, and explains how these core truths should shape a believer’s identity and daily walk with Christ.
Readers will be both encouraged and challenged to live a life for Christ that is rooted in the Gospel, by not only reading the Bible but meditating on it; not just attending church but participating in the church community. The Christian Life serves as a Scripture-based guide to practical Christian living, for new believers and lifelong Christians alike.
“The Christian Life was a tremendous help to me, first just in my own personal walk with God, but then also in being able to articulate some of those basic elements of Christian doctrine.” - Alistair Begg
