For many believers, the Day of Atonement is only a partially understood biblical concept. Under the old covenant, the Day of Atonement happened annually, and its effects were external, temporary, incomplete, and ultimately futile. As Alistair Begg shows us, though, Jesus changed everything by providing a new covenant in which atonement is internal, permanent, and final. The work has been completed forever, and that which separated us from God—much like the curtain in the temple—has been removed for good.
