He Was Taken Up

Scripture records defining moments of God’s work in the world after which things would never be the same. The ascension, Alistair Begg notes, is one of those moments, anticipated by Jesus as He prepared His disciples and experienced by them as He was taken up into heaven. Prior to this, He commissioned them to proclaim the good news, for His ascension assures us that His work on the cross has been completed and accepted on our behalf.
