Here Is My Servant
In the first of Isaiah’s Servant Songs, the prophet tells us that God’s servant will bring justice to the nations in a gentle manner. He will also be known for not shunning the lowly, the “bruised reeds” and “smoldering wicks.” Jesus Christ, Alistair Begg explains, fulfilled this prophecy and set an example for how we are to live. As “bruised reeds” ourselves, it is grace we’ve been given, and it is by grace that we are to give.
