Jesus’ resurrection cannot be true only for those who claim it to be; it’s either universally true or universally false. For the sake of comfort and inclusivity, however, our culture prefers personal, individual truths to universal, absolute ones. The problem, as Alistair Begg makes clear, is that individualized truths with no connection to reality aren’t strong enough to provide any lasting comfort. We must wrestle with the truth of Jesus’ resurrection, make our decision, and live accordingly.
