There Shone a Holy Light: Beholding Christ and Christmas in the Old Testament
How did God prepare His people for the coming Messiah? There Shone a Holy Light: Beholding Christ and Christmas in the Old Testament is an Advent devotional that examines how key Old Testament stories, figures, and symbols find their fulfillment in Jesus.
This collection of twenty-five readings explains how people like Noah, Joshua, and Solomon—as well as symbols such as the tabernacle, the ark, and the water from the rock—foreshadow the character and ministry of the Messiah. Readers will learn more about how Christmas emerges as the fulfillment of promises God faithfully preserved across generations.
