To the “Almost” Christian

Acts 16:30–31  (ID: 3400)

After Paul and Silas were miraculously freed from prison in Philippi, their jailer asked them, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” Their answer was simple: “Believe in the Lord Jesus.” But what does it mean to believe? There’s a difference, Alistair Begg explains, between believing the facts about Jesus and actually believing in Him personally. To truly believe is to entrust all that we are—our life, future, and destiny—entirely to Him as Lord and Savior.

30Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
